Visiting a hospice for the first time can feel overwhelming. Whether someone is preparing for a stay, visiting a loved one or supporting a family member, not knowing what the environment will be like can naturally create anxiety. That’s why we were honoured to partner with St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth to produce a full 360° virtual tour of their specialist unit in Turnchapel.
This immersive online experience allows people to explore treatment rooms, communal areas and peaceful gardens from the comfort of their home. For many families, this level of transparency provides reassurance at a time when clarity and calm really matter.
“Many people, including young children, may have never stepped foot inside a hospice, so will be unsure of what to expect,” St Luke’s shared when launching the tour. “Thanks to the virtual tour you can now explore the rooms ahead of time, including the family play room.”
The tour also sensitively includes areas people may feel hesitant to ask about, such as the Resting Place for Patients - a quiet, private room where families can say goodbye before their loved one goes to the funeral directors. By offering this online, St Luke’s provides transparency and comfort at a deeply emotional moment.
Made Snappy 360 is best known for supporting estate agents with high-quality virtual tours, detailed floor plans and professional photography, but our technology is increasingly being used across the commercial sector - including healthcare settings, schools, serviced offices, leisure venues and community buildings.
Our goal is simple: help people understand spaces clearly through accessible, interactive technology.
Our Marketing Manager, Verity Collyer, explains:
“We provide a customer-first service, offering tools that help estate agents create virtual tours, detailed floor plans and high-quality imagery for their property listings.
We chose to support St Luke’s not only because they are a valued part of our local community, but because we recognise the vital role they play for families across the region. Having previously worked in the care sector, I’ve seen first-hand the dedication, compassion and level of support required by hospices and the teams behind them. St Luke’s work touches so many lives, and we are proud to help showcase the incredible care they provide.”
Virtual tours are no longer just for property marketing. Businesses and organisations across the UK use 360° technology to:
⦿ Reduce visitor anxiety by showing environments clearly online
⦿ Support accessibility and inclusivity for those with mobility challenges
⦿ Help families, patients and staff prepare for visits
⦿ Improve trust through transparency
⦿ Showcase facilities to donors, partners and the wider community
For hospices and care providers, being able to walk through a space virtually can make a significant emotional difference. St Luke’s can now offer a clear visual journey to anyone preparing for a visit, helping individuals and families feel informed, prepared and reassured.
We’re proud to play a small part in supporting the extraordinary work of St Luke’s and hope this virtual tour helps bring comfort, clarity and confidence to those who need it most.
If your commercial building, care home, school, office space or community organisation could benefit from a virtual tour, floor plan or photography package, our team would love to help.
